Triple Libra Conjunction in September

I’ve never seen The Fantasticks, the world’s longest-running musical that is back on Broadway, but the play’s signature tune Try to Remember lingers in my memory. I think it was on an Andy Williams album that my mother used to play while dusting the Danish Modern furniture in the living room. (The Shadow of Your Smile was on the same LP.)

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.

The lyrics by Tom Jones may be a bit corny, but the melody by Harvey Schmidt is a classic in my American songbook.

As crazy and chaotic as this month has started out to be, there’s a beautiful triple conjunction of Venus, Mars, and Mercury in the partnership-oriented sign of Libra. It squares Jupiter in Capricorn as the Great Expander is turning direct.

The aspects are most powerful from Sept. 7 to 10. So look deep within your heart, remember your dream, and follow.

Venus and Mars Get Married in September

Yesterday I got an e-mail from a friend whom I call Sarah. She is planning a second wedding on short notice. Sarah’s a Virgo rising and has very high standards. A Sun/Moon conjunction in Gemini, she has a great sense of humor and has kept me in stitches with stories of a family who did everything right, whom she dubbed “The Perfects.”

Sarah is counting on me to come up with a perfect time and date for her wedding, which will most likely take place in or near London. Obviously, it’s too late for an 8-8-8 wedding favored by so many Chinese couples and at least one in Lily Dale, N.Y., but I think I’ve come up with a pretty sweet chart. It’s set for 9 a.m. in London on Sept. 10, 2008.

You can look at the chart here.

It’s got a Venus/Mars/Mercury stellium sitting on the partnership-oriented Libra Ascendant square Jupiter in Capricorn, which is coming off a powerful station. To give the whole thing staying power and to reflect the fact that this a wedding of a middle-aged couple, I’ve picked a time when the Moon in mature Capricorn is trining the Sun in perfectionist Virgo. Sober Saturn is broadly conjunct the Sun and trining the Moon.

What do you think? What I like about this chart is that it’s got both lights, the masculine Sun and the feminine Moon, in favorable aspect to each other, as well as a conjunction between sexy Venus and martial Mars.

With the Venus/Mars duo also conjunct Mercury, I won’t be surprised if this couple ends up on the front page of the paper, especially since it’s magnified by the square to the Great Expander Jupiter. This is big news, folks!

What about Saturn, you ask? He’s the glue that holds everything together.
