The U.S. After Pluto in Capricorn

Astrologers know that Pluto is moving into Capricorn on Nov. 27, where it will remain until 2024. The U.S. is about to have its Pluto return, as the demoted planet was in Capricorn when the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776. (I use the Sibly chart, which has an ascendant of 12 degrees of Sagittarius.)

Knowing this, it’s no wonder that the following headline in the The Guardian of London caught my eye today: “2025: End of U.S. Dominance.”

The article reports that a new study from the National Intelligence Council, which coordinates research from all the U.S. intelligence agencies, says in 2025 that the U.S. will be unable to “call the shots” in a “fragmented world, where conflict over scarce resources is on the rise, poorly contained by ‘ramshackle’ international institutions, while nuclear proliferation, particularly in the Middle East, and even nuclear conflict grow more likely.”

Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

  1. Folks — This comment is actually from Jude, but I accidentally deleted it. I’ve got to wait until I have my coffee in the morning to work on the blog. Here’s what Jude says about this post:

Hi Monica, I’m glad you posted on this article – I saw it this morning too but had to motor into the city for appts today, so no blogging time. It’s good that you linked it here.

You know you could’ve been more…’told ya so’…with fair justification if you’d wanted. How many articles have astrologers posted on this subject in the last few years? (We should each receive an amero for every post!)

The US Sec Progr’d Full Moon in December is closing in on America, isn’t it?

And apathy is one of the reasons it’s been ‘gung-ho/full steam ahead’ for the global wheeler dealers who should have quite a field day all through 2009 with the speculating Jupiter-Neptune conjunction starting a new cycle of fraud, grand plans, dreams, and illusions. I suspect that the Digital TV gorge we cross in February is part of it.

But once the trap is sprung, it’s too late.

Have you written yet upon the Saturn-to-natal-Neptune transit for the US? It’s something I can’t put off much longer. Will check out your archive asap.

Well, if I don’t ‘speak’ to you before, have a Happy Thanksgiving full of piping hot pumpkin pies (or pies of your choice), jude ;p

  2. Weren’t these the same guys who foresaw,in their 1992 report for 2010, a World fragmented by the end of the bipolarism,
“where conflict over scarce resources is on the rise, poorly contained by ‘ramshackle’ international institutions, while nuclear proliferation, particularly in the Middle East, and even nuclear conflict grow more likely” ? 😉 The thing is, there really isn’t anything here that could’t have been written 16 year ago, when the Soviet Union collapsed. The USA had wan the Cold War, and was in a position that no power since the Roman Empire had had – it was in total control of its’ World. The thing is, the rest of the World may argue it didn’t use this power very well. The Nation which had been an inspiration not only to individuals but also nations all around World quickly lost its’ appeal. Now, I actually hope that the approaching Pluto return will bring the Nation closer to its’ roots – to one that will set an example.

Happy Thanksgiving from a Nation currently undergoing it’s very first Pluto opposition to its’ natal Pluto (and having a heck of a chart in general, being formed in the midst of a World War and a Revolution…) without much turmoil this far !
