New Moon in Libra: Sept. 29, 2008 at 4:12 a.m.

The guys over at StarIQ do a fabulous New Moon Report, but they set their charts for Redmond, Wash., the home of Microsoft Corp. and its legendary co-founder Bill Gates. So whenever I’m reading their report, I imagine they’re setting the scene for the Microsofties.

I’ve set my chart for the New Moon in Libra on Sept. 29 for Washington D.C. at 4:12 a.m. Interesting that the Sun/Moon conjunction is in the second house of financial resources.

As I write this, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Congress have reached agreement on a $700 billion bailout of Wall Street that the House is expected to vote on tomorrow.

The New Moon is square Jupiter, and as Jeff Jawer warns his StarIQ forecast, there is a “possibility of overdoing.” No kidding, especially since Jupiter sits in the fifth house of speculation. Are those folks in Congress gambling away our future? I sincerely hope not.

As students of astrology know, Mercury is retrograde right now in Libra, and it’s sitting at the tail end of the second house, moving in the direction of the Sun/Moon conjunction. What’s the message? Much is going to have to be reworked and rewritten in this bailout plan.

No one, not even Paulson or Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, knows what it’s truly going to cost the American taxpayer to save Wall Street from its speculative mistakes.

Mars is also part of the Libra lineup, although it’s in the third house of communications. The Libra stellium favorably trines a slew of Aquarius planets in the sixth house of the New Moon chart. What is troubling is the trine between Neptune, the Great Pretender, and Mercury, the Winged Messenger.

You don’t need an astrology blog to know we’re not getting the full story about the bailout. The sixth house rules civil servants and the working stiffs in a mundane chart. With Neptune, the North Node, and Chiron in Aquarius, we’re in a daze. We’re not sure what’s happening.

Virgo is rising in the New Moon chart and serious Saturn is in the first house. Yes, the mood is certainly grim. It’s morning in Frugal America and the cupboard is looking mighty bare. Saturn, the Taskmaster, is opposed by surprising Uranus in Pisces in the house of partners and open enemies. Uranus is the only planet above the horizon in this chart.

People’s nerves are jangled enough as it is so I’m not going to issue some kind of doom-and-gloom forecast. Let’s just be prepared for the unexpected with that Uranus. Lots of unwelcome interruptions and surprising visits are headed our way. Who knows what’s going to come out of left field this month?

Elvis may have left the building, but he might have just taken a very long cigarette break.

Beam me up, Scotty!

  2. Hurry up, if you have a dime to gamble!

Buy some options on almost any financial stock (BofA, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, AmEx,) within the next 2-3 hours.

It’s not the end of America. Those theatrics in Washington once more prove that Wall Street dictates what’s good for the country, not the politicians.

Have a look at the present chart: 3 p.m. Eastern: The only stressed transit is Moon square Jupiter. In less than 3 hours it’s over. Anyone who likes to gamble a little from time to time better should act before 3 p.m. Eastern time.

I have put to work already what’s available. With options one gets some nice leverage and the risk is pre-defined. Cirio, GP

  3. Well, Gian Paul. I just posted this comment at 3:01 p.m. So maybe it’s a case of Merc retrograde. Can people still buy options now or is the window shut? After all, the market is open until 4 p.m. here. — Monica

  4. P.S. Brazilian news just announced that the Russians and Venezuelans have entered a nuclear deal: Venezuela will have civil nuclear energy in less than three years, thanks to Russian technology, post-Chernobyl, let’s hope

This is along the lines of what I describe more explicitly in my post on OPEC.

  5. Amazing right on the money, when people in the news were saying on Sunday oh there is going to be a bail out and everything will be fine. The astrology here said other wise very good call who ever wrote the astrology for Sep 29 here.
