Sandy asteroid?

We’ve just had a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., not long after Superstorm Sandy ravaged the Eastern Seaboard. I don’t have time to do the work, but I’m wondering if there’s an asteroid named Sandy and if it’s traveling near the U.S. Sun. Astrodienst has a clever pull-down menu where one can look for asteroids.

Been there. The closest I found is Sandra at almost 7 Capricorn. Ther is also Hooke at 3 Virgo, roughly opposite Neptune, and Lanzia at 30th degree squaring it.

Thanks. I appreciate your help. Even though there’s not a “Sandy,” your research indicates asteroid “Sandra” is next to transiting Pluto right now, opposing the U.S. Sun, which I would read as involvement in life-and-death events that affect the U.S.

In case you didn’t already know, a Oskar is currently conjunct Pluto, and Pistoria conjunct Saturn. Valentine last week was at almost 30 Pisces

Very interesting about the Oskar asteroid, given the arrest of “Blade Runner” Oscar for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.
