I don’t have time to give this the treatment it deserves, but at least one CEO knows which way the wind is blowing: General Electric’s Jeffrey Immelt, who has turned down his $12 million bonus for 2008.
In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a class war going on out there and America’s CEO royalty is being reined in after years of excess. Immelt gets the Aquarian ethos of putting the group (in this case, the company) ahead of the individual.
It is possible that Immelt, who was born Feb. 19, 1956 in Cincinnati (time unknown), is a Pisces if he was born late in the day. But in any event, he’s in the news right around his birthday, which often happens in my opinion.
